Dear Friend...

Dear friend..
I know sometimes life isn’t fair
I know sometimes you just feel like you want to give up
I know sometimes you think how could that undesired things happen to you
But you should remember that there is no single obstacle that come into your life will beat you down
You know you have the power to overcome
You know have many people that always be around you
You know there are still many people out there who really need more help
The most important thing is you know you have your God that always guide you
No matter how hard you try
No matter of what your feeling in giving up
Be grateful, my friend..
God always near you if you believe in Him
So, don’t give up

Keep calm and carry on, my friend

Thank You

Start every new morning with a new smile
With a cup of hot tea waiting for me at the corner table
I open the door when I hear a sound that I think am familiar with
Mother....
Thank you for the sacrifice..
Thank you for the time you always give to me..
Thank you for the knowledge..
Thank you for the patience..
And also thank you for always loving me..
And if the time for you to rest from all your hard work has come
I'll take a good care of you like you took a good care of me

A Man Who Taught Me The World

His hoarse voice, the wrinkles on his face and his gray hair never changed when I first knew him
An old veteran who taught me all about the world
Once gallant who fight for Indonesia with a long barrel once in the shoulder
Now it's just an ordinary barrel hanging on the wall
His struggle has been completed
Then he gave me his knowledge how to be the perfect adult
Do not give up, so he says
It sounds easy if he's still next to me
Until he was gone, I almost close to give up
But I will always remember all of his teachings, I held up my head high
Thank you, my beloved Grandpa
Half of you embedded in me

GUINESS ARTHUR'S DAY 2013

October 26th 2013 was the day that I’ve been waiting for in that entire year. That’s the day when my favorite band came to Jakarta. It was Guiness Arthur’s Day’s event. I was so thrilled when Sound Rhytm as the promotor brought Mew, my favorite Danish band to Jakarta. For almost a monht before the event I’ve asked my boyfriend if he wanted to come with me. I got yes for the answer. I couldn’t be happier!
I borrowed my cousin’s car and I left my house around 11 AM. I wore my Mew’s shirt that I made through my friend. I was so excited that my palms were sweating along the trip. I practiced by singing all of Mew’s song. It was the 3rd times they come to Indonesia. First in 2009 on Java Rockin’ Land event, second in 2011 on Soundburst Festival in Surabaya and the third in 2013 on Guiness Arthur’s Day at JIExpo Hall.
I arrived around 2 PM. I got out off the car and saw there were still few people there so I went back to the car. I ate my lunch while I was waiting the gate to open. The clock’s ticking and it was already noon. I grabbed my bag and went to the line. There were so many frengers (that’s what they called people who love Mew) wearing Mew’s shirt. The more I saw the people passing by with the shirt the more excited I was.
Around 6.30 the gate was finally opened. I was getting close to the gate as one by one handed out the ticket to the guide. It’s my turn and I could feel my heart was beating so fast. The ticket was trade with a can of beer but I didn’t drink it. When I passed the gate I rushed to the building and I did scream a lil bit just to released the excitement. The room was very cold and there were already many people who made a line. It was not just Mew who would perform that night but there’s also One Republic and Club 8.
The door was opened near 8PM. I grabbed Dimas’ hand and ran as fast as I could so I could stand right in front of the stage. We made it. Club 8 performed first. I actually don’t know much about their song, so I sat on the carpet. The second was One Republic. I still sat on the carpet while everyone was jumping around. Dimas’ cellphone battery was running out and he asked for a permission to go to the car to get the powerbank. I said yes but I told him to hurry because I didn’t want to miss my favorite band’s performance without him.
When One Republic was done performing it was my turn to stood up and waited for Mew while most of the people there resting by sitting on the carpet. I received a text message from Dimas told that he couldn’t make it to the outside because it was so crowded which means he haven’t took the powerbank. I was panic because he also told me that there’s no way he could make it to the front stage.
I was so angry that I almost cried. I told him I would come to him after I finished with 2-3 songs. After waited for almost 30 minutes the curtain was lifted. The first song they played was Special. I would have been passed out if I did lose control. I screamed as loud as I can because that’s my all time favorite song. I sang as loud as I could and I jumped as high as I could. I could see Jonas (the lead singer) right in front of my face. I could see his hair, his lips and also his eyes. Nothing could replace that feeling. 3 songs had already performed and as I promised before, I went to see Dimas. He sat near the sound control. Then we could guess what happened next. I spent the rest of the night standing far away from the stage.
I apologized for not accompanied him for almost an hour because he only stood in the back probably couldn’t see the stage as clear as I did. The performance was really really great. I had goosebumps many times. I almost cried again because I really dont know what’s with the Mew whole thing. It’s just melt my heart away.

The last song was Comforting Sounds. That is what they always do everytime they do a performance, play Comforting Sounds as their closing song. As the song was being played, the confetti was slowly falling down covered up every corner of the place. This time I really did cry. I did. I can't expect nothing but hoping they will come back again to Indonesia.

THE REHEARSHAL DAY

The day before yesterday was one of the most exhausting yet delightful day in my life. Me and other students of English literature had a rehearshal in Sapta Pesona building for our playwrights event on 25 – 26th January 2014. I had to woke up so early because it started at 10 AM. At first me and my boyfriend, Dimas, were caught in a difficult situation to made a decision whether a train or motorcycle that we would like to take toget there.
As we know the intensity of the rain recently and also flood on certain areas in Jakarta have been obstacles for most of the people who want to go outside. As I woke up at 6.30, I could hear the sound of the rain outside my bedroom. I felt so lazy in a sudden. The cold weather and the greyish sky made me want to climb up back to my bed.
I hustle because I know I was going to be late. When I finished, I waited for my boyfriend to come for a while. All set and we decided to go by motorcycle. I left my house which is in Bogor at 8. We wore our raincoat then the trip began. We ride through Jalan Raya Bogor-Jakarta with the rain which was falling down to my face. Around 9.30 I asked Dimas to pull over because I could feel my stomach hurts because I haven’t had my breakfast. To the meatball counter we went and I ordered for 2 portions.
The clock showed us that it was already 10.20. We continued our trip. I sang along the trip to made Dimas felt better because I knew he was tired. The rain still falling I could feel my hand so stiffed, so was Dimas. As we arrived in Jakarta, I asked some of pedestrians which way we had to take to Gambir. I finally could see Sapta Pesona building and it was 11.10.
A security asked us in what importance we were coming when we entered the gate. I answered that it was for my campus necessary. The security allowed us to park the motorcycle. I called Nia to asked where exactly the rehearshal hall was because I took the wrong way. As Nia direct me the way to the hall, I found it. I rushed to the hall and found my group already began their rehearshal. Thank God I didn’t come too late.
I watched every single group did their rehearshal and they gave great performances. I really had a good time spending my time outside the campus with my bestfriends also Dimas. We laughed and shared funny jokes together. We even shared pasta and sweets eventhough our lecturer told us not to eat inside the hall. Then I helped the production to finish the 500 invitations. When the rehearshal was done, all the students of English literature gathered to give the gratitude to Allah SWT for the opportunity to do the rehearshal.
Me, Dimas and my friends made an appointment to go to Sarinah. We planned to have a late lunch at McDonalds. When we finished and ready to go home, the rain started to fall again. So we had to wait for a while until it stops.

It’s around 5.30 PM when the rain stopped. And the journey continued.
